Hi all!
As far as events in Dublin are concerned this coming weekend is definitely one of the top weekends for me. I have mentioned it a number of times, but allow me to repeat it again: There are three festivals in Dublin that I absolutely love. These three are the Festival of World Cultures, the Street Performance World Championship and the Dublin City Soul Festival. Two are already over, but the wonderful Festival of World Cultures is still ahead of us. Until this year it always took place at the end of August and was in a way closing off the summer festival season. This year it is a whole month earlier than for the last 9 years and this might catch out some of you, but if you get this newsletter for a while, you should have heard about the change, I hope. ;-)
I will be there on Sat and Sun and if you want to meet up, just ring me on 087 2931571. For most of the day time I will be at the big stage at Newtown Smith Green and it is the easiest to meet there.
Ohh, and I need your help this weekend!! If everyone who will be in Dun Laoghaire could help this would be phenomenal and SOOO much appreciated! The story is this: With up to 250,000 people from Dublin and surrounds in Dun Laoghaire this weekend, it would make sense to let a few of them know about the “Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events)”, do you agree? Unfortunately, though, the organisers didn’t like it at all when I handed out leaflets telling people about this Event Guide. Me promoting the festival for 7 years was worth nothing to them, it seems. ;-) So this year I am looking for a bit of Guerrilla marketing! If out of the near 7000 members of the Dublin Event Guide Community only 100 went to Dun Laoghaire and each of you printed this sheet www.perfectresults.info/event_guide_mini_flyers.pdf just twice and cut each into 6 mini flyers, we would be able to spread the word to 1200 people! Handing out 12 mini flyers is not too big a job, right? But as you can see it would make a big difference in my effort to reach more people! And handing out 12 pieces of paper is not even something the event organisers can have a problem with. ;-) Sure, you can print more pages and hand the flyers out, it would be even better! But 12 is great, and I will be happy! – It is fun to smile at people and to say “Hey, how are you!” and to hand them a mini flyer. Try it out! If you are good, it will take you a total of 2 minutes to hand these 12 out! Will you help??? Thanks!

Do you remember, I was talking about mindset last week? The mindset to change? Many of you responded to my invitation to find out more about what I mean with that. Thanks for your mails! I haven’t replied yet, but will do so in the next 1 or 2 weeks and if you like the Feel Good Slot in this newsletter, tell me (dublinevntguide@gmail.com) and I will include you when I send the mail to the people that wanted to know more about how we can overcome limitation that hold us back from achieving what we want.
This week’s Feel Good Slot message was sent to me by Cornelia and while I am not sure if it is really a “traditional” Irish Blessing, I still think that there is a strong message in it that you might want to take with you for the week. (By the way, wherever it says “god” in messages like that, just insert your preferred creator! And if you don’t belief in a creator, then you might insert “nature” or something like that. What I am trying to say is: Don’t get hung up on a word, but try to find a way how YOU can get some benefit from a message like that!)
This week is full of events again and there is a lot more to come. If you want your friends to benefit from all this good news tell them about this Event Guide. They can subscribe just by sending a mail to dublineventguide@gmail.com And to spread the word, this might help you: www.perfectresults.info/event_guide_mini_flyers.pdf

This week Therese O’R, Rebecca M, Eva C, Ming-jia Y donated to support the Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events) and their contribution is hugely appreciated. If you want to support my weekly work too and want to make me smile ;-), you can donate here: www.perfectresults.info/donation.htm
This newsletter is a spare-time activity of mine for which I am not paid. It is not a commercial project and if you like it, you are invited to help with a donation. You can donate as much as you want or can, but if you need some guidance, maybe consider just ONE Euro per month or – to make it more practical – a donation of 12 Euro per year (that is just 25 cent per newsletter). Where else can you get such a vast amount of useful information for just 25 cent. ;-)
You can donate using PayPal or your credit card by following this link to the PayPal donation page www.perfectresults.info/donation.htm If you want to transfer money to my bank, just drop me a mail to dublineventguide@gmail.com and I will send you the details.
