Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events)

A super night!

Richmond Barracks Harvest Festival, Earth Rising Eco Festival, Dublin Mind Body Experience, Car Free Day on Customs House Quay

Hi!!

How was your Culture Night? Did you make it out and join the tens of thousands of others or did you get stuck at home? Knowing that I will have to compile a Dublin Event Guide tonight, I was for a crazy second considering to stay home. But luckily that second was over really fast! ;-)

What did you experience? Did you enjoy the evening? I had a great night. I only had time for at tiny part of Culture Night, but it was good!

I started a the National Gallery, where a choir was singing and they projected art on the outside wall of the building. Then I went to Alliance Francaise to listen to some French songs and to discover that unfortunately the great cafe in there has gone. After that I stopped by the Royal College of Physicians and you will see their historic library on the Dublin Event Guide Facebook Page. Then onwards to the National Library. St. Mary’s choir were singing in the wonderful Reading Hall. The next stop was the National Museum where the “Irish Gold” exhibition is in the centre of the museum. On my way over in the direction of Mansion House I passed by the Freemason’s Hall with the usual long queue for the fascinating tour there. I only passed by Mansion House en route to Temple Bar. Mayhem (a sort of Culture Night rave) outside the former Central Bank, but I didn’t stay. I wanted to go to Meeting House Square, where there was music, but it was full and instead of queuing, I went onwards to the Amphitheatre at Wood Quay as my final stop and there I experienced the surreal experience of a Burlesque performance to promote the Irish language. Burlesque as gaeilge!? It was called “Cabáiste Cabaret” if you ever come across it.

A great Culture Night with a varied programme and at least the Burlesque as Gaeilge will be something I will not easily forget. LOL What did you do? What do you remember? What did you enjoy? Leave some comments about your night on the Dublin Event Guide Page on Facebook? Everything you say there helps to spread the word about the Dublin Event Guide!

Donations in September:
EUR 178

(By the end of the month, this number has to reach or exceed EUR 200 to guarantee the continuation of the Dublin Event Guide.)

If the Dublin Event Guide helps you to find out about free events in Dublin, please help with a donation.

The counter here shows the current donation status. By the end of the month EUR 200 will be subtracted to pay the bills. If more money has been donated, the rest will be carried forward. If donations have stopped below the EUR 200, the missing amount will be carried over.

Last week Maite and Luana helped with a donation. Thank you so so so much! These donations keep the Dublin Event Guide alive and it is truly a wonderful group of people who help keeping the Dublin Event Guide going. Join this exclusive group!

With the above counter you know at all times where we stand and when donating is needed. Donations keep the Dublin Event Guide alive and all donors will also get some additional bonuses.

Here are some more details about donations:
Any amount is appreciated, but if you are looking for a recommendation, then I suggest a donation of 12 Euro per year. – That’s just one Euro per month and you get FOUR Dublin Event Guides for that Euro! If your funds are limited, but you still want to help, you can buy a virtual coffee for just EUR 4. All donations will be used in full for the Dublin Event Guide.

To donate, use the Dublin Event Guide Donation Page here: gturl.eu/DEGdonate. It is really easy to use and uses Stripe’s trustworthy payment processing. You can even sign up for a yearly subscription on the donation page! Yearly subscriptions will give some important financial stability and reliability to the Dublin Event Guide and are therefore very much appreciated! (Look for the RED subscription buttons at the bottom of the Donation Page.)

In case the donation page doesn’t work for you, the old links are here: You can donate via www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide or for Revolut users among you, just use @joergbrb or now also revolut.me/joergbrb
(If possible, please send your full name and e-mail address as a message with the payment via PayPal or Revolut so that I can tell you about bonuses for donors when available.)

To buy one or two or even three virtual coffees for the Dublin Event Guide, come to the “Buy Me a Coffee” page here www.buymeacoffee.com/DublinEventG

And there is one other way to help and it is even free: If you come to www.DublinEventGuide.com and check out some of the ads and click on the ones that you find interesting, that also helps with a few cent! ?

Thank you!!

Voicenotes – Brilliant Voice Note Taking and transcription app

I’ve been using Voicenotes for the last few months and it’s been a game-changer for my productivity! This simple app lets me take voice notes on the go and it transcribes everything for me. No more manual note-taking! after recording the note, it transcribes it and the transcription is super accurate and saves me a lot of time. Often apps like that come with a relatively high monthly fee an that makes them pretty uninteresting. Voicenotes is different. Right now, they’re offering a lifetime deal for just $50. If you’re looking for an easy way to capture your thoughts and stay organized, I highly recommend it. You can sign up here: www.getthislink.com/voicenotes
Voicenotes works in your webbrowser and there are also Android and iOS apps.
