Dublin Event Guide 726: Bonus event for Dublin Event Guide supporters! – Dublin Festival of History, IMMA Outdoors, Dublin Alive Ballymun & Finglas

Dublin Event Guide (for free events)

Bonus event for Dublin Event Guide supporters!

Dublin Festival of History, IMMA Outdoors, Dublin Alive Ballymun & Finglas

Hi all!

Since I added the “donation counter” to the weekly Dublin Event Guide newsletter, I am promising that people that have donated will get some bonuses in addition to getting the BEST event listing for free events in Dublin ;-) and in addition to be part of a quite exclusive and very very much appreciated group of people!

And today finally I can announce the first bonus!

Some of you know that I am also a Personal Development and Business Coach and Trainer and that through my company, the Inspiring Leadership Academy, I provide a range of seminars and workshops, including leadership & and team happiness training.

The first bonus for all Dublin Event Guide supporters is from that area of my life. ;-) It is an interactive seminar entitled “Tame your inner critic – Reclaim your confidence and thrive in life” and it will take place online on Mon 18 October from 19:00-20:30.

If you have EVER donated any money to the “Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events)” this seminar will be free for you. All you have to do is register at gturl.eu/TameYourInnerCritic and use the Coupon Code DONATED. But hurry, because there are only 20 places!

If you have not yet donated, but would like to, now is a good time to help the Dublin Event Guide, because you too will then be able to take part in this seminar for free.

But why “Tame your inner critic – Reclaim your confidence and thrive in life“? What does it mean and why should you attend?

One of the highest barriers to happiness and success in life is something we do to ourselves. It is called the “Inner Critic” or the “Little Voice” and is this highly critical self-talk that robs our confidence, motivation and trust in the ability to achieve our goals. Do you want to change your job, business, relationship or some aspect of your life, but your “Inner Critic” holds you back? Then this seminar is definitely for you!
In this 90 minute seminar you will learn how to manage your negative inner voice that tells you “You Can’t” or “You aren’t enough” and start to pursue the life you truly want.

Donations in October:

EUR 172

(By the end of the month, this number has to reach or exceed EUR 200 to guarantee the continuation of the Dublin Event Guide.)

If the Dublin Event Guide helps you to find out about free events in Dublin, please help with a donation.

The counter on the left shows the current donation status. By the end of the month EUR 200 will be extracted to pay the bills. If more money has been donated, the rest will be carried forward. If donations have stopped below the EUR 200, the missing amount will be carried over.

Last week we didn’t receive any donations, but hopefully this week some of you will be able to help again.

With the above counter you know at all times where we stand and when donating is needed. Donations keep the Dublin Event Guide alive and all donors will also get some additional bonuses. The first of those bonuses is described above.

Here are some more details about donations:
Any amount is appreciated, but if you are looking for a recommendation, then I suggest a donation of 12 Euro per year. – That’s just one Euro per month and you get FOUR Dublin Event Guides for that! If your funds are limited, but you still want to help, you can buy a virtual coffee for just EUR 3. All donations will be used in full for the Dublin Event Guide.

To donate, use the Dublin Event Guide Donation Page here: gturl.eu/DEGdonate. It is really easy to use and uses Stripe’s trustworthy payment processing. You can even sign up for a yearly subscription on the donation page! Yearly subscriptions will give some important financial stability and reliability to the Dublin Event Guide and are therefore very much appreciated! (Look for the RED subscription buttons at the bottom of the Donation Page.)

In case the donation page doesn’t work for you, the old links are here: You can donate via www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide or for Revolut users among you, just use @joergbrb

To buy one or two or even three virtual coffees for the Dublin Event Guide, come to the “Buy Me a Coffee” page here www.buymeacoffee.com/DublinEventG

And there is one other way to help and it is even free: If you come to www.DublinEventGuide.com and check out some of the ads and click on the ones that you find interesting, that also helps with a few cent! ?

Thank you!!

And there is more…

+++ Festivals this week
The totally free Dublin Festival of History continues:
++ Dublin Festival of History – Online and In-person events (10 Sep- 10 Oct) dublinfestivalofhistory.ie/events/
And there are a few more festivals that do not seem to have any free events:
+ GAZE International LGBTQ+ Film Festival 29 Sept-03 Oct www.gaze.ie/
+ Dublin Theatre Festival 30 Sept-17 Oct dublintheatrefestival.ie/programme/programme-2021
+ Ireland Music Week 05-08 Oct www.irelandmusicweek.com/
+ Dublin International Short Film & Music Festival 08-10 Oct disfmf.ie/

+++ Open House Dublin 2021
Open House is organised by the Irish Architecture Foundation and it will return on 15-17 October. In normal times, over the weekend there are lots of interesting buildings open in Dublin where architects give a guided tour and explain what the original thinking was when the building was created.
I got a completely new perspective of Liberty Hall and Busaras after being on an Open House Tour. Other interesting buildings that I saw over the years: Old Terminal at Dublin airport, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Enterprise, Irish Lights Headquarters in Dun Laoghaire, Conference Centre Dublin, Four Courts, Criminal Courts of Justice and many more.
This year a LOT more pre-booking will have to be done and since the tickets were released on 28 Sept, you need to check quickly if there are any still available. The full programme is at www.openhousedublin.com

+++ National Gallery tickets available here
The National Gallery is usually free anyway, but in current times you will have to book tickets to get access and you have to enter the building on the Merrion Street side. Tickets are available here: www.nationalgallery.ie/visit-us/book-your-ticket The National Gallery also is running events again and because the events have limited number of spaces, they can book out relatively fast, at least before I can write about the events, so check out the events 1-2 weeks in advance here www.nationalgallery.ie/whats-on and then book tickets for them.

+++ Visit Dublin Castle for free
Until the end of 2021, entry to Dublin Castle is free for all visitors. You will be able to visit the State Apartments on a self-guided tour. There are currently no guided tours and therefore the Medieval Undercroft and Chapel Royal are not accessible. Opening hours are Mon-Sun & Bank Holidays: 09:45-17:45 (last admission 17:15). Tickets can be booked at dublincastle.admit-one.eu/?p=calendar&ev=SELFGUIDE for free there will also a limited number of tickets available at the ticket desk.

+++ Low Priced Books with free delivery
Book Depository is the place where you can buy low priced books, usually for better prices than on Amazon and Book Depository always delivers for free. And by buying books from Book Depository you will also help the Dublin Event Guide for no additional cost to you. Use this link: shor.by/BookDepository
  .

+++ LEARN A NEW SKILL WITH ONLINE COURSES
Is there ever a wrong time for learning a new skill or enhancing what you are already interested in? Maybe it is a language or an instrument or some technical skills? Or NLP or some Business related “soft skills”? Check out Udemy via the link below, they have thousands of courses and there is good chance that what you are looking for is available. Nearly all the courses are REALLY affordable!
The lowest cost for courses this month will be around 12.99. Check out the website at shor.by/GqCk And if you buy through that link, you also help the Dublin Event Guide! :-)

And this is it for another week! Have a great weekend and good new week.

Take care,

–Joerg (dublineventguide@gmail.com)
