Markets are the rage!
Weekends: Lots of markets & not much else – Weekdays: Busy as ever
Hi all!
Just a few more days and half of 2021 is over already. That went fast! And at the same time it went excruciatingly slow. :-O But as we saw a few weeks ago, things will pick up speed now, if the people that make the rules want it to. Since there will be continuously new variants, it seems that some of the rule makers would prefer us locked away for good, but we can hope that sense will prevail! I am keeping my fingers crossed! |
Indirectly connected to that, I had an interesting experience during the week:
I expressed an pinion and assessment regarding what is happening at the moment in Ireland in the comment section of TheJournal .ie.
It wasn’t one of those mad rants that you read there often and it wasn’t any of the crazy off-the-wall comments that make you shake your head. No, it was a balanced, fact based and well considered comment.
After posting it, it was up for about 12 hours, got a LOT of Likes and then the “journalists” at the Journal decided to remove my comment completely. :-( Censorship in Ireland!? Hmmm!
I guess I can remove the experience of being censored from my bucket list! :-O
No censorship here! But free cultural events don’t need censorship anyway. Mind you, Facebook is not making it easy at the moment to find all the things that are happening. It is a LOT more work than before they changed layout and search functionality.
I will do my best every week nevertheless to find LOTS of free events for you and to make sure you get them, you really should sign up for the free weekly newsletter from the “Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events)”. If you can, please also tell your family, friends and colleagues about it. Sign up at www.DublinEventGuide.com

Thanks a lot to the people who help with donations. This tip jar needs you! There will be no Dublin Event Guide if the bills are not paid and these donations are the way to help me pay them.
I am creating this weekly publication for the last 14 years :-O and if it is my decision, I will keep it going for a lot longer, but the decision depends on the donations. With donations it will continue, with no donations it won’t.
Any amount in the Tip Jar will help! But if you are looking for a recommendation, then I suggest a donation of 12 Euro per year. – That’s just one Euro per month and you get FOUR Dublin Event Guides for that. That’s amazing value! And if your funds are limited, but you still want to help, you can buy a virtual coffee. I won’t drink the coffee, but will use the money for the Dublin Event Guide.
For donations, use the Dublin Event Guide Donation Page here: gturl.eu/DEGdonate. It is really easy to use and uses Stripe’s trustworthy payment processing. In case it doesn’t work for you, the old links are below and can also be used. You can even sign up for a yearly subscription on the donation page! Yearly subscriptions will give some important financial stability and reliability to the Dublin Event Guide and are therefore very much appreciated! (Look for the RED subscription buttons at the bottom of the Donation Page.)
You can donate here via www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide or for Revolut users among you, just use @joergbrb
To buy one or two or even three virtual coffees (or Hot Chocolates!) for the Dublin Event Guide, come to the “Buy Me a Coffee” page here www.buymeacoffee.com/DublinEventG
Finally, there is also another way to help and it is even free: If you come to www.DublinEventGuide.com and check out some of the ads and click on the ones that you find interesting, that also helps with a few cent! ?
Thank you!!

+++ FESTIVALS this week
After a very very busy June, the number of festivals for July is tiny. That is no surprise, since July and August are seen as “holiday months” even if we still can’t go anywhere. But the festivals that we have this year are regular, yearly festivals and they happen nearly independent from any restrictions.

+++ LEARN A NEW SKILL WITH ONLINE COURSES
Is there ever a wrong time for learning a new skill or enhancing what you are already interested in? Maybe it is a language or an instrument or some technical skills? Or NLP or some Business related “soft skills”? Check out Udemy via the link below, they have thousands of courses and there is good chance that what you are looking for is available. Nearly all the courses are REALLY affordable!
The lowest cost for courses this month will be around 12.99. Check out the website at shor.by/GqCk And if you buy through that link, you also help the Dublin Event Guide! :-)
+++ READ MORE BOOKS
For physical books and e-books I recommend Book Depository because they are usually cheaper than others and they always include free delivery in their price AND by buying books from Book Depository you will definitely help the Dublin Event Guide and it doesn’t cost you a cent. Buy your books here shor.by/BookDepository .
