Events Guide: Docklands Maritime Festival
Hi,
some friends have asked me to keep them posted on events that are worth knowing about and that might not be promoted as much so that everyone has heard about it.
So, over the summer, whenever I come across something that is worth sharing, I will let you know. If you don’t want to receive my “events guide” ;-), just let me know.
For this weekend, I would recommend the “Docklands Maritime Festival”. It runs from Friday until Monday and will take place on Liffey Quay (that is the North Side Liffey Bank, near the IFSC).
The tall ships are in town and some of them can be viewed, in addition there are market stalls with food, crafts and lots of other things and finally and for me most importantly, there is great music on two stages. (I am looking forward to Grand Central Station on Saturday 15:45-17:00 and Urban Drum and Bass on Sunday or Monday.)
All music and street entertainment is FREE!
For details go to www.docklands.ie and click on the MARITIME FESTIVAL link.
I might see you at the Docklands! ;-)
