+++ Natural History Museum will close for a number of YEARS
You might have seen it on Friday, in newspapers and online publications. The National History Museum, also called the Dead Zoo, and because it was still kept like an ancient museum, also called a “museum of a museum”, will close for renovations and it was mentioned that it will probably be closed for several years.
It will be a huge loss to Dublin’s museum scene and hopefully it will be re-opened again soon. This is not the first time that the museum has been closed for a long period of time. In 2010 the upper galleries got closed and from 2020 to 2022 the museum was also closed for renovations. Let’s hope that this time it will be properly renovated so that it can stay open for a long period of time afterwards.
The museum is 168 years old and is not in a great state anymore.
While it is closed, there will be a small selection of Natural History Museum exhibits on show in the National Museum in Collins Barracks.

Ikea in Ballymun runs a variety of crafting, music and cooking workshops it is always worh checking out. The workshops are free and usually go for 45 minutes.
