Biggest event of the year

Unison Music Festival, Swellfest, Punch Lion Kids Comedy Festival, Culture Night, Dublin Mind Body Experience, Earth Rising Festival

Hi!!

The biggest event of the year will take place in this coming week! If you are a regular, you do not need ANY explanation. If you are a “newbie” then I will tell you a bit more about it.
The event is “Culture Night”, which will take place all over Ireland and comes with HUGE amount of free events.

Culture Night is an yearly event that celebrates the richness and diversity of the country’s cultural offerings. It always takes place on a Friday evening in September and this year it is on Friday 20 September.

On this night, arts and cultural organisations, galleries, museums, historic buildings and creative spaces open their doors free of charge and they extend their opening hours late into the night. The event makes culture accessible to all and encourages people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and engage with the arts in our city.

In Dublin, Culture Night transforms the city into a vibrant tapestry of performances, exhibitions, workshops and interactive experiences. You can stroll through the streets and stumble upon live music, theatre productions, dance performances and art installations. Or you can meticulously plan your evening on www.culturenight.ie

The atmosphere in town is festive, fun and inclusive, creating a great sense of community and shared appreciation for the arts. Culture Night is a great chance to immerse yourself in Dublin’s dynamic cultural scene and it is for everyone.

I love love love Culture Night and will be out in town again, exploring what is happening this year. There are soooo many events that I can’t mention them in this Dublin Event Guide. I will try to include some, but it will be a very small amount. Go to www.culturenight.ie to find out all!

Donations in September:
EUR 160

(By the end of the month, this number has to reach or exceed EUR 200 to guarantee the continuation of the Dublin Event Guide.)

If the Dublin Event Guide helps you to find out about free events in Dublin, please help with a donation.

The counter here shows the current donation status. By the end of the month EUR 200 will be subtracted to pay the bills. If more money has been donated, the rest will be carried forward. If donations have stopped below the EUR 200, the missing amount will be carried over.

Last week only Jana helped with a donation. Thank you so so so much! These donations keep the Dublin Event Guide alive and it is truly a wonderful group of people who help keeping the Dublin Event Guide going. Join this exclusive group!

With the above counter you know at all times where we stand and when donating is needed. Donations keep the Dublin Event Guide alive and all donors will also get some additional bonuses.

Here are some more details about donations:
Any amount is appreciated, but if you are looking for a recommendation, then I suggest a donation of 12 Euro per year. – That’s just one Euro per month and you get FOUR Dublin Event Guides for that Euro! If your funds are limited, but you still want to help, you can buy a virtual coffee for just EUR 4. All donations will be used in full for the Dublin Event Guide.

To donate, use the Dublin Event Guide Donation Page here: gturl.eu/DEGdonate. It is really easy to use and uses Stripe’s trustworthy payment processing. You can even sign up for a yearly subscription on the donation page! Yearly subscriptions will give some important financial stability and reliability to the Dublin Event Guide and are therefore very much appreciated! (Look for the RED subscription buttons at the bottom of the Donation Page.)

In case the donation page doesn’t work for you, the old links are here: You can donate via www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide or for Revolut users among you, just use @joergbrb or now also revolut.me/joergbrb
(If possible, please send your full name and e-mail address as a message with the payment via PayPal or Revolut so that I can tell you about bonuses for donors when available.)

To buy one or two or even three virtual coffees for the Dublin Event Guide, come to the “Buy Me a Coffee” page here www.buymeacoffee.com/DublinEventG

And there is one other way to help and it is even free: If you come to www.DublinEventGuide.com and check out some of the ads and click on the ones that you find interesting, that also helps with a few cent! ?

Thank you!!

Voicenotes – Brilliant Voice Note Taking and transcription app

I’ve been using Voicenotes for the last few months and it’s been a game-changer for my productivity! This simple app lets me take voice notes on the go and it transcribes everything for me. No more manual note-taking! after recording the note, it transcribes it and the transcription is super accurate and saves me a lot of time. Often apps like that come with a relatively high monthly fee an that makes them pretty uninteresting. Voicenotes is different. Right now, they’re offering a lifetime deal for just $50. If you’re looking for an easy way to capture your thoughts and stay organized, I highly recommend it. You can sign up here: www.getthislink.com/voicenotes
Voicenotes works in your webbrowser and there are also Android and iOS apps.

+++ CULTURE NIGHT 2024
Culture Night is a brilliant event and everyone who takes part in it loves it. Not every signle event might be your cup of tea, but there are so many events and so many variations of events that there is nearly a guarantee that something suits you.
It is impossible to list all events in this Dublin Event Guide and since they are all on one single searchable and browsable website at www.culturenight.ie it is also not really necessary. But to show the variation of events, I picked (semi-randomly) 15 interesting events to give you an idea:
+ National Gallery of Ireland – Digital art projections with Painting Mirror and guided tours of Irish and European art.
+ Leinster House Tour – Explore Ireland’s parliamentary chambers in this rare public tour.
+ Youth Arts Takeover – A dynamic showcase of young talent in art, music, and dance.

ENJOY Culture Night and keep an eye on the Dublin Event Guide Facebook Page, I might post a few pictures.

+++ LEARN A NEW SKILL WITH ONLINE COURSES
Is there ever a wrong time for learning a new skill or enhancing what you are already interested in? Maybe it is a language or an instrument or some technical skills? Or something completely different? Nearly every subject is there! Check out Udemy via the link below, they have thousands of courses and there is good chance that what you are looking for is available. Nearly all the courses are REALLY affordable!
The lowest price most of the time is EUR 12.99. Sometimes it even goes down further to EUR 9.99 and when that happens (about once or twice a year), I will tell you. But even 12.99 is definitely a good price for what you get! – Check out the website at www.getthislink.com/Udemy22 And if you buy through that link, you also help the Dublin Event Guide! :-)
