Dublin Event Guide 727: It looked bad after a computer crash! – But here is the delayed Dublin Event Guide with Dublin History Festival, Arts and Human Rights Festival, Open House

Dublin Event Guide (for free events)

It looked bad after a computer crash!

But here is the delayed Dublin Event Guide with Dublin History Festival, Arts and Human Rights Festival, Open House

Hi all!

It won’t be called “Freedom Day” in Ireland, but 22 October is the Irish version of that day…. when (nearly) all restrictions will be lifted from our lives and normality will begin again… and it is just 2 weeks away! Are you looking forward to it or does it leave you cold?

I expect that indoor events will be ramped up significantly from that day, so we all should benefit from it!

——-

Last week I made an offer to all of you and it is great that 15 of you already signed up to my seminar! Thanks for your trust, I promise that it will be worth your time!!

If you didn’t see it last week, let me give you a quick update: As a bonus and thank you for all Dublin Event Guide supporters, I will run an interactive seminar entitled “Tame your inner critic – Reclaim your confidence and thrive in life“. It will take place online on Monday 18 October from 19:00-20:30.

If you have EVER donated any money to the “Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events)” this seminar is free for you and all you have to do is register at gturl.eu/TameYourInnerCritic and use the Coupon Code DONATED.

If you have not yet donated, you could do that now via the links below and then get the seminar for free or just help with a EUR 5 donation directly on the registration page. There are just 5 more places available!

In this 90 minute seminar you will learn how to manage your negative inner voice that tells you too often “You Can’t” or “You aren’t enough” and start pursuing the life you truly want. If you want to change your job, business, relationship or some other aspect of your life, chances are that your “Inner Critic” is somehow involved! Then this seminar is definitely for you!

Why listen to me? In addition to compiling the Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events) every week, I am also a Personal Development and Business Coach and Trainer and through my company, the Inspiring Leadership Academy, I provide seminars and workshops, including leadership training.

Donations in October:

EUR 296

(By the end of the month, this number has to reach or exceed EUR 200 to guarantee the continuation of the Dublin Event Guide.)

If the Dublin Event Guide helps you to find out about free events in Dublin, please help with a donation.

The counter on the left shows the current donation status. By the end of the month EUR 200 will be extracted to pay the bills. If more money has been donated, the rest will be carried forward. If donations have stopped below the EUR 200, the missing amount will be carried over.

Last week the wonderful people that helped with a donation were Antje, Fiona, Barbara, David, Aline, Igor, Stephen, Katleen, Caitriona, Majella, Mirjam, Simon, Martin. Thank you very much! You are appreciated and your donation is as well! :-) And I hope you will join me on the “Tame your Inner Critic” seminar!

With the above counter you know at all times where we stand and when donating is needed. Donations keep the Dublin Event Guide alive and all donors will also get some additional bonuses. The first of those bonuses is described above.

Here are some more details about donations:
Any amount is appreciated, but if you are looking for a recommendation, then I suggest a donation of 12 Euro per year. – That’s just one Euro per month and you get FOUR Dublin Event Guides for that! If your funds are limited, but you still want to help, you can buy a virtual coffee for just EUR 3. All donations will be used in full for the Dublin Event Guide.

To donate, use the Dublin Event Guide Donation Page here: gturl.eu/DEGdonate. It is really easy to use and uses Stripe’s trustworthy payment processing. You can even sign up for a yearly subscription on the donation page! Yearly subscriptions will give some important financial stability and reliability to the Dublin Event Guide and are therefore very much appreciated! (Look for the RED subscription buttons at the bottom of the Donation Page.)

In case the donation page doesn’t work for you, the old links are here: You can donate via www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide or for Revolut users among you, just use @joergbrb

To buy one or two or even three virtual coffees for the Dublin Event Guide, come to the “Buy Me a Coffee” page here www.buymeacoffee.com/DublinEventG

And there is one other way to help and it is even free: If you come to www.DublinEventGuide.com and check out some of the ads and click on the ones that you find interesting, that also helps with a few cent! ?

Thank you!!

And there is more…

+++ Festivals this week
Thes two don’t seem to have any free events:
+ Dublin Theatre Festival 30 Sept-17 Oct dublintheatrefestival.ie/programme/programme-2021
+ Dublin International Short Film & Music Festival 08-10 Oct disfmf.ie/

But there are lots of free events here:
++ Open House Dublin 15-17 Oct openhousedublin.com/
++ Dublin Arts and Human Rights Festival 15-24 Oct smashingtimes.ie/festivals/dublin-arts-and-human-rights-festival-2021/
++ Red Line Book Festival 11-17 October www.redlinebookfestival.ie/programme/

+++ IDEAL HOMES EXHIBITION – FREE TICKETS
The Ideal Homes exhibition is one of the fixed events that comes every year twice and that is especially for home owners who are interested in extending, expanding or equipping their home. It takes place in the RDS and after many years of free tickets on some of the days, the last year or so, “free” was not a popular word anymore with the organisers. But this year the re-start needs a bit of help and therefore there will be lots of free tickets available, but you have to hurry, because the offer could stop any day. Get your free tickets for the Ideal Homes exhibition here: www.universe.com/events/permanent-tsb-ideal-home-show-tickets-98JPNG The show will run from Fri 22 Oct until Mon 25 Oct.

+++ Open House Dublin 2021
Open House is that great event where you can get access to buildings that you normally will not get access to. It is run by the Architecture Foundation and you will find out about WHY a building was built in a certain way. What did the architect think, what influenced him or her? It will return on 15-17 October, but apart from the online screenings, all in-person events need booking and nearly everything is booked out. BUT I was able to find a few that still have some spaces, so do spend the time checking through the list of events at www.openhousedublin.com

+++ National Gallery tickets available here
The National Gallery is usually free anyway, but in current times you will have to book tickets to get access and you have to enter the building on the Merrion Street side. Tickets are available here: www.nationalgallery.ie/visit-us/book-your-ticket The National Gallery also is running events again and because the events have limited number of spaces, they can book out relatively fast, at least before I can write about the events, so check out the events 1-2 weeks in advance here www.nationalgallery.ie/whats-on and then book tickets for them.

+++ Visit Dublin Castle for free
Until the end of 2021, entry to Dublin Castle is free for all visitors. You will be able to visit the State Apartments on a self-guided tour. There are currently no guided tours and therefore the Medieval Undercroft and Chapel Royal are not accessible. Opening hours are Mon-Sun & Bank Holidays: 09:45-17:45 (last admission 17:15). Tickets can be booked at dublincastle.admit-one.eu/?p=calendar&ev=SELFGUIDE for free there will also a limited number of tickets available at the ticket desk.

+++ Low Priced Books with free delivery
Book Depository is the place where you can buy low priced books, usually for better prices than on Amazon and Book Depository always delivers for free. And by buying books from Book Depository you will also help the Dublin Event Guide for no additional cost to you. Use this link: shor.by/BookDepository
  .

+++ LEARN A NEW SKILL WITH ONLINE COURSES
Is there ever a wrong time for learning a new skill or enhancing what you are already interested in? Maybe it is a language or an instrument or some technical skills? Or NLP or some Business related “soft skills”? Check out Udemy via the link below, they have thousands of courses and there is good chance that what you are looking for is available. Nearly all the courses are REALLY affordable!
The lowest cost for courses this month will be around 12.99. Check out the website at shor.by/GqCk And if you buy through that link, you also help the Dublin Event Guide! :-)

And this is it for another week! Have a great weekend and good new week.

Take care,

–Joerg (dublineventguide@gmail.com)
